Through its affiliation with Art Goes to School of Delaware Valley, our chapter receives a portfolio of approximately 20 art print reproductions (from its repository of over 900) each year.
Within our portfolios are examples of a variety of different styles, genres and media from artists through time and across cultures.
From Ancient Egyptian pieces to Old Masters like Rembrandt; from Abstract Expressionists like Rothko to Living Greats like Ringgold; we offer the District's K-5 children a small, but wide-ranging sample of what the art world has to offer.
From our broad sampling of artists and artistic styles, children are encouraged to look at and experience the art pieces in new and engaging ways.
We present our portfolios within the context of the District's regular Art classrooms. Presenters work creatively to relate to the children at their level, whether a Kindergartener just starting out; or a 5th grader who has already begun to establish a good foundation of art principles.
Our goal is to enhance the great work our District's Art Teachers do each year.
